Tynemouth Aquarium is on Grand Parade along the Tynemouth seafront, with pay-and-display parking available nearby and good local bus and Metro links (Tynemouth Metro station is within walking distance).

The aquarium also runs a dedicated Seal Hospital, rehabilitating and releasing seals back into the North Sea, and has an active conservation programme. On-site facilities include the Bay & Laurel Restaurant and a gift shop, and the venue hosts children's birthday parties.
