Peppa Pig: Surprise Party is a first-of-its-kind immersive experience for preschoolers, bringing Peppa's world to life across a 19,000 sq ft space inside Gateshead's Metrocentre. Designed for children aged 1 to 6, the 1 hour 45 minute adventure blends live puppetry, theatrical performance and hands-on activities as families help plan Peppa's biggest surprise party yet.

Where: Metrocentre, Upper Green Mall (first floor, opposite Boots), St. Michael's Way, Gateshead, NE11 9YG
When: Runs on a timed session basis across scheduled dates throughout the year. Check the current booking calendar online, as sessions are released in blocks (for example, dates from 31st July 2026 are currently on sale).
Cost: Tickets are priced from around £9.50 per adult and £15.00 per child, though prices can vary by date and demand, so it's worth checking the current price before booking. Essential Companion Tickets are available free of charge for accessible bookings with proof of entitlement.
Parking: Free parking all day, every day at Metrocentre. The experience takes place entirely on one level and is fully wheelchair accessible, with a dedicated buggy park at the entrance. Metrocentre also has its own train station, just 7 minutes from Newcastle Central Station, and over 100 buses an hour serve the centre.
Families board The Big Train to enter Peppatown, exploring recognisable locations including Peppa's House and The Aquarium, meeting Miss Rabbit, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, George and Peppa herself, and taking part in party preparations like decorating the cake. The experience ends with a surprise celebration complete with party hats and (virtual) muddy puddles. Dedicated Party Rooms for private birthday bookings are also available.
