Parking and Access

The Theatre Royal is in the heart of Newcastle city centre on Grey Street, within easy walking distance of Newcastle Central Station and the Metro. Several NCP and council-run car parks are nearby, including options at Central Station, The Gate, and Chinatown, with some offering pre-booked parking. Note that some council car parks may close before a show finishes, so it's worth checking closing times in advance. Three disabled parking bays for Blue Badge holders are available on Hood Street.

Admission Prices

Ticket prices vary by production, seating tier, and performance date — there's no single admission fee, as this is a working theatre with a rotating programme. Current shows and pricing are listed on the What's On page. Discounts are available for groups of 10+, Friends of the Theatre Royal members, and Personal Assistant (carer) ticket holders.
