A wide stretch of sandy beach at the foot of Tynemouth village, overlooked by the ruins of Tynemouth Priory on the headland. Rock pools at the northern end. Popular with surfers, bodyboard and surfboard hire available locally. Café and ice cream kiosk on the seafront.
