Parking and Access
On-site parking is available, and The Dunes sits directly opposite South Shields beach, making it an easy add-on to a seafront day out.
Admission Prices
Adult entry: £1
Child entry: £3–£6.50 (children under 1 go free)
Bowling parties: £15 per head, including a game of bowling, kids' meal, ice cream and a party bag
Soft play parties: £100 non-refundable deposit, minimum 10 children (90-minute sessions)
Attractions
The Dunes is a large indoor entertainment centre themed around a galleon, said to be one of the biggest soft play areas in the North of England, with:
Five levels of giant slides, rope bridges and foam cannons
An indoor football pitch
A separate toddler sensory area (term-time weekdays, 10am–3pm, free with soft play entry)
Dunes Bowl – 12 lanes of ten-pin bowling, including Glow in the Dark bowling every night, with unlimited bowling deals from 4pm
Dunes Darts, priced per hour per oche
An amusements arcade and a sports bar showing live football across seven screens
The venue also hosts birthday parties for both bowling and soft play, with food and drink available throughout from the on-site Sports Bar.
