Opening Hours
The science centre is generally open 10am – 5pm, seven days a week. Hours vary around North East school holidays, so it's best to check the opening times page before visiting.
Parking and Access
Centre for Life is located centrally in Newcastle at Times Square, just a five-minute walk from Newcastle Central Station and the Metro. On-site parking is available at the Times Square car park next to the centre.

Adult (18+) £13.10 (with donation) / £11.90 (without donation)
Child (3+) £13.10 (with donation) / £11.90 (without donation)
Children aged 2 and under go free (maximum two per adult). Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Group and corporate rates are available for bookings of 20+, along with NHS and Max Card discounts.

Centre for Life is Newcastle's hands-on science centre, with everything included in the ticket price:
Space Zone – exploring astronomy and the solar system
Planetarium – an immersive domed show experience
Play Zone – designed for younger children
Making Studios – hands-on workshops and experiments
The centre also runs a rotating programme of family events, adults-only evening events, and seasonal exhibitions (recent examples include dinosaur-themed shows and an outdoor ice rink in winter). Annual memberships are available for frequent visitors.
