Location: Brocksbushes Farm Shop, Stocksfield, Northumberland, NE43 7UB (10 minutes from Hexham, 30 minutes from Newcastle, just off the A69)
Opening Hours
Farm Shop: 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday – Saturday; 10am – 4pm Sunday (breakfast and shop browsing from 9.30am)
Play Barn Sessions (2 hours each, three per day, booked online in advance):
Peak (weekends & school holidays): 9.30–11.30am | 12–2pm | 2.30–4.30pm
Off-peak (term-time weekdays): 9.30–11.30am | 12–2.30pm | 3.30–5.30pm
A dedicated quiet session (reduced capacity, no music) runs Tuesdays 9.30–11.30am and Thursdays 3.30–5.30pm.
Parking and Access
Free on-site parking, including accessible spaces, right outside the Play Barn — easy access off the A69.
Admission Prices
Under 6 months: Free
6–12 months: £2.50
1–11 years: £8.50 (peak) / £6.50 (off-peak)
One adult goes free per paying child ticket; additional adults (up to 3) can be added for £2.50 each
An Off-Peak Annual Pass is also available at £29.95 per child, giving unlimited entry to off-peak sessions all year.
Attractions
Brocksbushes Play Barn offers four levels of indoor soft play for ages 0–11, split into:
Little Brocks (0–4s) – low platforms, softer zones, and roleplay rooms
Big-Kid Area (0–11s) – a 4-lane astra slide, log ramps, splat pads, trampolines, a sports area, climbing wall, role-play rooms and cave crawls
There's also an outdoor play area for sunny days, and a café serving hot food and barista coffee overlooking the play frame. Birthday parties are available from £12.50 per child, including a private party area, food package, and a dedicated party host.
