Bricks & Brews - BRAND NEW Lego Cafe
My kids might be a little crazy but if one thing can keep there attention and keep them chilled its LEGO. so when I seen a brand new Lego cafe opened up here in the North East I was absolutely thrilled.
Bricks and Brews is exactly what you think it is, a cafe dedicated to all things lego where you actually build and the kids can get creative with free play or pick from hundreds of sets and build a full design.
If like me your lego structures end up breaking, collecting dust or falling down this really is perfect. The fun of the build, snap a pick but no having to find a home for them.
It works like this - book a play slot online at www.bricksandbrews.co.uk there's 3 options to choose from:
1 Hour slot - £5 per person
2 Hour slot - £8 per person
3 Hour slot - £10 per person
All slots include space on the table and in term time you get one adult free with each booking.
When you arrive you scan the QR code on the table and this brings up all of the sets that are available to build. These are also categorised by time taken to build, age, how many people recomended and images of the final product. Once you've selected grab one of the team members and they'll grab your kit. This then comes in a little bag on a tray with instructions so you can get to building right away.
Also in the cafe theres a free build section for kids who just want to get creative, and also a great ramp with loads of wheels for kids to build cards and race them - this was Vinnie's absolute favourite thing to do.
There's then the actual cafe which at the moment sells coffees, cakes, scones, other refreshments and snacks. This might extend later to a larger menu but the place has just opened so the team are finding there feet still!
This was such a chilled afternoon out, and we will most definitely be back. It's great for families, couples, friends, play dates or anything else. You don't have to be a child either if you just like building lego book a table, come along and have fun!
